Gastric Band surgery is not for everyone.

How does it work?
A gastric band is fitted (in your mind) over five sessions by the use of hypnosis. The use of suggestion and visualisation enable your mind to be convinced that your stomach has become smaller and that you need less food. By eating less and less often you will begin to lose weight. The process uses hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioural techniques to help you achieve your ideal weight - and stay there!
Each session in the Hypno-Band system lasts for one hour and before beginning the process a full assessment will be carried out.

How long does it take? The whole process takes five one hour sessions, you will be given a total of 4 different CD's to listen to at home, whilst relaxing, and a file of accompanying information for your use if you wish. Usually the course is achieved over five - ten weeks but this is flexible and at your convenience. During a final fifth session further weight management consultation takes place with more hypnotic suggestion work to build on all that has been achieved and add support for the future.

The first step is a Free initial consultation. This simply involves a 40 - 60 minute session where you will be given an explanation of a variety of factors that are involved within our brain and physiology that influence weight issues and our general happiness, how you can take control of these and how hypnotherapy can help. We will also discuss in detail what is involved. You can then go home, give it some thought and choose whether you would like to return for the five session course. A general hypnotherapy CD will be given for use at home.
